Welcome to Friday Field Trips, a second serving of words and water for paid subscribers to Wednesdays at the Well. I am so glad you’re here and am so grateful for your support.
It is officially baseball season! As I write this, the Detroit Tigers are 7-5 and holding first place in the American League Central. Yes, if you didn’t know, I’m a big baseball fan and the Tigers are my team!

Today’s field trip is to the ballpark. I’m sharing my one and only baseball poem. I originally wrote this in 2012. I made some changes to that first version, but the message is the same.
I think we are all looking for something to believe in.
You can read the poem or watch a video of it below. Let me know what you think. And how you feel about baseball or sports in general.
The Camels and I will see you again next week for another Friday Field Trip. We’ll be sharing a poem inspired by an experience of washing someone’s feet in recognition of Good Friday.
Baseball, hotdogs, peanuts & poetry,
Rebecca & 10Camels
